Over the two days, the main activities take place in Townsville’s Strand Park, where the high-traffic transition area is located. The swim leg is just off the main Strand beach (Rockpool for the kids), the bike leg takes participants along The Strand and through neighbouring streets, and along Cape Pallarenda, and the run leg is along the beautiful Strand and Rowes Bay pathways. There’s something for everyone – come along and get involved!

The tradies are the backbones to our economy. Over 1 million people are employed by the construction industry; these include the bloke next door, the everyday dads, sons, mothers, sisters, grandfathers and even uncles. North Queensland in particular is home to thousands of tradies, who work for themselves, contractors, developers and employers. NQ Supa Tradies is a 2-day event on the 7 - 8th of September, full of trades, industry exhibits, interests and tradies toys. Developed from the 2012 Supa Trowel event, NQ Supa Tradies brings all the trades and the industries that feed into the trades, together, to grow and support an industry. Mate against mate, trade against trade, showing us what they are made of, and how they work in their trades and what skills and tools they use. Families will be entertained with showcases, tradie for a day comps, exhibits, Ladies Tradie Lounge, skills on show, tools and equipment on show, Tradie Ironman and our main event the NQ Supa Trowel Challenge.
