Astounding in their realism, Mueck's works have earned him a singular place as the creator of some of the most evocative sculptures of our time. Mueck's work In bed is a mesmerizing, larger-than-life sculpture of a woman lying in bed and is the singular feature of this Queensland Art Gallery Travelling Exhibition. Ministry of Food to open in 2011

Full Description:
Cr Pisasale said a buzz was building before the opening this year with last year’s virtual cooking lesson giving the Ministry of Food centre plenty of exposure. “It’s given us international recognition – I’ve had emails from all over the world congratulating us on the initiative,” he said. “It’s about putting the fun into cooking instead of making it a chore.” Cr Pisasale said Oliver would make the trip to Ipswich to see first-hand the centre in action.

The Workshops Railway Museum

Distance to Quest: 4k

Full Description:
The Workshops', as it is affectionately known, is a site that is steeped in history. The very first train to run in Queensland steamed from here to Bigges Camp, now Grandchester, over 140 years ago. For decades the site was the centre of rail construction, maintenance and technology for Queensland’s burgeoning rail industry. In its time over 200 steam locomotives were constructed here. Thousands of workers have called The Workshops their home over the years. During its peak in WWII, over 3,000 people worked on site, making it the State's largest employer at that time. Now, The Workshops is once again an icon for the region. The rebirth of the site in 2002 as a world class rail museum, coupled with the oldest continually operating railway workshops in Australia, makes for a visitor experience second to none.

With more maneuverability and less of that bus-feeling than a conventional passenger jet, and more secure than paragliding, helicopters make human flight possible – and easy! Pterodactyl Helicopters was established in 2004 to fulfill this human desire ....
