As testament to the prestige and popularity that the tournament enjoys globally, the Hyundai Hopman Cup consistently attracts the world's best tennis players to Perth. In 22 years, the tournament has attracted 21 world number one players. Hyundai Hopman Cup was developed as a tribute to the late Harry Hopman (Australia's legendary Davis Cup player and champion coach) and filled a void in the world of tennis by providing a tournament where men and women compete together for their country.

Piazzarama Northbridge

Full Description:
Piazzarama Northbridge, presented by the City of Perth, occurs on the first Sunday of every month at the Northbridge Piazza. There are free activities for children and families from 12noon with a different theme every month. In line with the Hopman Cup Live Site, the children's activities will be themed around tennis and sport. With the interactive activities designed to get the family involved in physical activity. Roving characters with a tennis theme will provide additional entertainment. Balloon making and face painting will also be on site and the roving characters will also hand out balloons. The family films will have a tennis or sporting theme.
