BASSINTHEGRASS

Date: 25/05/2013
Full Description:
"BASSINTHEGRASS is conducted in a safe and friendly environment at the Darwin Amphitheatre. Innovations that are unique to the festival include souvenir caps instead of a conventional ticket and the provision of free bottled water which is available throughout the day. A giant screen ensures all the action can be viewed from under the shade plus there is a cloak room where belongings can be secured for a small fee. The festivals to date have been a wonderful success and have given the youth in particular a great sense of ownership and pride. There is also a high level of awareness and confidence in our ability as Territorians to stage a major activity of this kind. It is the intention of the Northern Territory Major Events Company to build on that confidence in years to come and to maintain creditability and support from the large number of participants and stakeholders" (as per website: http://www.bassinthegrass.com.au/info/about-us/ ).
