Construction commences at Quest Burwood East

29 January 2018, Melbourne: Quest Apartment Hotels is continuing its expansion in Victoria, with construction commencing at the Quest Burwood East development, at 315 Burwood Highway, Burwood East.

The new property, being developed by OAM, comes at an exciting time of revitalisation for Burwood East, coinciding with the major redevelopment of the former Burwood Brickworks site. Located approximately 15km east of the Melbourne CBD, the Burwood Brickworks redevelopment will consist of up to 950 dwellings housing more than 2000 new residents, open spaces and a civic boulevard fronting an integrated retail centre.

Quest Burwood East will be well positioned to provide a high standard of accommodation to support the area’s development, as it continues to expand into a destination of choice for business and leisure. Whitehorse Mayor Councillor Andrew Davenport was on site to mark the occasion. He was joined by OAM Director, Kian Chong Loh and Quest Apartment Hotels General Manager – Growth, James Shields.

Mr Shields was delighted to announce yet another addition to the Quest Victoria network, emphasising the importance of the Melbourne metropolitan market as a key component in the leading apartment hotel operator’s growth strategy.

The Tally Ho Business Park is one of the fastest growing high-tech regions in Melbourne and provides an outstanding base for high-tech, knowledge-based corporations, including Motorola, Hewlett Packard and Fujitsu. Quest Burwood East will be well positioned to provide a high standard of accommodation to those doing business in this thriving region,” he said.

OAM Director, Kian Chong Loh said the addition of Quest Apartment Hotels will spark immediate interest, driving traffic and creating opportunities for the growing community.

“Quest’s presence in Burwood East is an important one as it provides a high standard of accommodation that will support the overall city development and further boost the wellbeing of the community,” Mr Loh said.

The property will feature 91 studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, over five levels. The development also includes onsite parking, a business lounge and gym. Quest Burwood East will be the 56th Quest property in Victoria and is expected to open in early 2019.
