What does it mean to be part of a network that’s leading the future of accommodation? At the 2025 Quest Franchise Conference in Hawai’i, that question was at the heart of everything we experienced. For those considering owning a Quest business, this annual event is where our commitment to excellence is renewed and our vision for the future takes shape.
The 2025 Quest Franchise Conference, held on the North Shore of O’ahu, brought together Quest business owners, Quest leaders and industry partners for three days of learning, networking and connection. The event was centred around the theme: “Accelerating What’s Possible: Powered by People, Enabled by Innovation”, emphasising the roles of human connection and forward-thinking strategy in the network’s success.
The conference kicked off with The Ascott Limited, Australasia’s Managing Director, David Mansfield, reflecting on a year of significant network expansion and brand momentum. David outlined a bold strategy for the future, focusing on digitising the guest journey through data-driven personalisation and the use of AI to enhance both guest experiences and business performance.
A key highlight was a virtual panel discussion with industry leaders Margy Osmond of the Tourism & Transport Forum, James Goodwin from Accommodation Australia and Despina Kathestides from National Australia Bank. Their conversation on shifting travel behaviours affirmed the resilience and opportunities within the accommodation sector.
Community and peer-to-peer leadership: The strength of the Quest network
While strategy sessions were a core component, Quest’s Franchise Conference also emphasised community and shared experiences. The “spirit of Ohana” was evident as attendees participated in activities such as hiking to Ka’au Crater, playing pickleball and kayaking among sea turtles.
The event provided a platform for peer-to-peer leadership, with a session from the Business Owner Council showcasing the ingenuity within the network. Newcomers to the franchise, including Koden Colman from Quest Bundoora, were warmly welcomed. “This destination was perfect for connecting with other franchisees and sharing ideas and challenges. The conference was also family-friendly, which was a huge bonus as I took my family with me!” he said.
The conference also honoured veteran franchisees, celebrating Mark and Ky O'Shea's 20-year journey with Quest and their successful Quest for a Cause Golf Day charity initiative.
