What brought you to Quest?

Working in the hospitality industry for many years and the organic pathway that is available, from employee to business owner really attracted me to Quest. The Quest business model really rewards effort and commitment which was very appealing to me.

The resilience of the Quest brand, a Australian business model with over 30 years’ experience. It was about alignment and belief; the Quest brand is committed to continual improvement and creating meaningful and memorable experiences which aligns with my beliefs and values on how to create and maintain a successful hospitality business.

Living in regional Victoria the ability to own a business in an industry that you are passionate about and a community that you live in made Quest the perfect fit for my family.

What sets Quest apart from other accommodation providers?

Being locally owned and operated means guests receive the best advice on all the important things, best coffee, best steak, the best family friendly restaurant in town or even the best 10k running track so you can keep your fitness goals on track when you are travelling for work or with the family.

The amazing locations, especially in regional Victoria and the flexibility that serviced apartment accommodation solutions provide for work travel and even better for holiday accommodation with the family.

What do you love about Echuca?

The welcoming community, the calmness of river life and the weather (did I say the weather! OMG the weather on the Murray is amazing). Echuca is a great place of families, has an amazing variety of things to do, dynamic night life, loads of iconic events and festivals and most importantly, it is such an easy place to live in and visit.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Work has been very involved over the past 24 months, so any time I can get away I love exploring regional Victoria with my family and friends. At the moment our go to place is Bright, just a great place for families and such a beautiful part of Victoria.

One of the great things about living in regional Victoria is the community connections. Both my wife and I are involved with our local schools and sporting clubs, it’s not just contributing to sponsorships. It's about helping create community connections by being active on the committees, being a coach or a team manager. There is nothing more rewarding than being active in your community.

Do you have any favourite go-to local picks?

There a heap of great places to go in Echuca, I have too many favourites on the list.  When we are having a family day, nothing beats getting out and enjoying the fantastic place we live in. If you are into cycling, get the bikes out and go for a ride down the O’Keeffe Rail Trail to Bendigo. In the evening head to Echuca's best fresh food market, Forever Fresh, and pick up some fresh produce or even a platter and then head down to banks of the Murray River and enjoy the evening and the sunset with a great bottle of wine from Echuca local winery, St Annes and if you are really keen, get the fire going down by the river!
