Perth Zoo, located South of Perth, has been home to native and exotic wildlife, flora and fauna since it opened in 1896. Reaching Perth Zoo can be done easily via driving, 5-minutes to the CBD and 20 minutes to the airport. Buses and trains from Elizabeth Quay bus station, Elizabeth Quay train station and Wellington Street run to the entrance of Perth Zoo. You can also safely bicycle, blade, scoot or walk on the pathways leading to the zoo. Personal transport used to reach the zoo must however be kept outside at the bicycle racks provided.
