Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve

Distance to Quest:16.5km

Full description:
Tower Hill formed at least 30,000 years ago when a hot rising basaltic magma came into contact with the subterranean water table. The violent explosion that followed created the funnel-shaped crater (later filled by a lake) and the islands seen today. The Tower Hill Natural History Centre is very accessible and a great attraction for park visitors. There are two designated accessible parking spaces, and the building is free of obstacles and well designed. Toilets are accessed via the car park, servicing the nearby picnic facilities.
