Launched in 1998, the Fun4Kids Festival was conceived with the aim of celebrating the imagination and creative spirit of all children. It has gone on to be recognised nationally, winning back-to-back Australian and Victorian Tourism Awards, and was crowned “Best Community Event in Australia” at the 2009 Australian Event Awards. Housed in a magical 2.5 acre fully indoor 'village' in the heart of Warrnambool, the festival offers a feast of experiences - and the best thing is you pay one entry fee then all the fun is Free! So once you have bought your ticket you have no more to pay. The Festival is a not-for-profit event produced by the Warrnambool City Council and assisted by our dedicated sponsors, an army of volunteers and the generous support of the Warrnambool community at large. Warrnambool's heritage can be seen in the re-created 1870's coastal village at Flagstaff Hill. The village offers visitors the ability to view typical buildings of the era including the doctor's surgery, slipway, inn, school and sail maker's loft. Along with the re-created village visitors are able to learn more about the numerous shipwrecks which occured along the rugged Shipwreck Coast. The Great Circle Gallery is home to numerous shipwreck artifacts including the famous Loch Ard Peacock. At night Flagstaff Hill hosts 'Shipwrecked', the sound and light show which brings to life the Loch Ard tragedy through a state of the art water screen. The Warrnambool Visitor Information Centre is also located at Flagstaff Hill, providing extensive information about Warrnambool and the surrounding districts.

Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve

Full description:
Tower Hill formed at least 30,000 years ago when a hot rising basaltic magma came into contact with the subterranean water table. The violent explosion that followed created the funnel-shaped crater (later filled by a lake) and the islands seen today. The Tower Hill Natural History Centre is very accessible and a great attraction for park visitors. There are two designated accessible parking spaces, and the building is free of obstacles and well designed. Toilets are accessed via the car park, servicing the nearby picnic facilities.
