Why serviced apartments?

What is a serviced apartment?

A Quest serviced apartment is your home away from home. At Quest, space is abundant and all properties offer a variety of apartment configurations to suit singles, couples, families and large groups, from studios to four-bedroom apartments. 

Most two and three-bedroom apartments contain a second bathroom and adjoining apartments can also be reserved on request.

Most apartments offer separate living, dining and sleeping areas, fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. Open floor plans allow everyone enough space to spread out while staying under the one roof.

The majority of Quest properties have an on-site reception with an on-site manager to ensure the security of guests and attend to urgent after hours enquiries.

Apartment features:

Quest apartments typically feature fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, as well as dining and entertaining areas that are separate from bedrooms. Studio apartments feature kitchenettes, along with a lounge/dining area. Most properties offer the following features:

  • A range of apartment configurations from studios, to one, two, three or four bedroom apartments
  • Two and three bedroom apartments may contain a second bathroom
  • Reverse cycle air conditioning/apartment controlled air conditioning

Why should I choose a serviced apartment over a hotel or motel?

Anyone who has travelled for an extended period alone or with a group will tell you that the confines of a standard hotel room are not ideal.

Serviced apartments typically offer more space than hotels or motels, separate living, dining and sleeping areas, fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. At Quest, space is abundant and all properties offer a variety of apartment configurations to suit singles, couples, families and large groups, from studios to four-bedroom apartments. 

These features, unique to serviced apartments, allow you to cook your own meals, do your own laundry, and relax with plenty of space.

The majority of Quest properties have an on-site reception and an on-site manager to ensure the security of guests and attend to urgent after hours enquiries.

We also offer regular housekeeping, valet laundry and dry cleaning services, local restaurant chargeback arrangements, a pantry shopping service and baby sitting booking service.

Where is Quest located?

Booking with Quest

Does Quest charge an online booking fee?

No. Quest does not charge an online booking fee for bookings made directly with a property through the Quest website.

Can I speak to a real person?

Quest properties are owned and operated by franchisees who are dedicated to making your stay hassle-free, and a big part of this is ensuring you deal with real people.

Sometimes it will be the franchisees themselves, otherwise their team of reception staff will be pleased to help you over the phone and throughout your stay.

In addition to reception, an on-site manager is available to ensure the security of guests and attend to urgent after hours enquiries.

Do I need a credit card to make a booking?

Yes. To confirm your booking, we ask that you provide the details of a valid credit card or make a cash deposit equal to the first night’s accommodation approximately 10 days prior to arrival.

Variations to this may apply during peak periods and at the property's discretion.

What is your cancellation policy?

A cancellation fee of one night's accommodation will apply to any booking cancelled within 48 hours of the arrival time. If no arrival time is specified, 10pm will be considered the arrival time. Cancellation fees will automatically be charged to the credit card provided, or deducted from the reservation deposit.

Any property may alter these terms and conditions for specific bookings, advising the terms and conditions that will apply.

Can I earn Qantas Frequent Flyer (QFF) points?

QFF points are awarded for accommodation only, on a property's published rate.

QFF members are awarded three points for every whole dollar charged to their account at Australian properties, or 1,000 points per stay at New Zealand and Fiji properties. 

The following products and services are not eligible for QFF points:

  • Accommodation that forms part of an inclusive tour purchase (package)
  • Accommodation charged at the wholesale rate
  • Accommodation charged at negotiated corporate rate or government rate
  • Accommodation charged at heavily discounted rates, such as those found on last minute booking websites
  • Conference related expenses, seminars and banquets
  • Points can only be earned by 1 member per room/apartment and cannot be split between 2 or more members occupying the same room/apartment. Members can claim points on a maximum of 3 rooms/apartments and a maximum 7 nights per stay applies.
  • Services provided by a third party

Staying at Quest

What payment methods does Quest accept?

Quest properties accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners) and cash.

Acceptance of cheques varies across Quest properties so please check with the property prior to arrival.

On arrival, a pre-authorisation of your credit card, for the amount of your accommodation, will be required.

If paying by cash, a security bond for at least the first night will be required upon arrival. This amount may vary, so please check with the property.

What do I need for check-in?

If settling by cash, you are required to provide a current driver’s licence or passport. 

What time is check-in?

Check-in is 2pm. If you’re arriving before this time, you need to contact the property directly to make alternative arrangements.

While every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals, this will be dependent on availability and at the discretion of each property.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is 10am. If you require late check-out, you will need to contact the property directly to discuss availability.

While every effort will be made to accommodate requirements for late checkout, this will be dependent on availability and at the discretion of each property.

Can I have a party at Quest?

Quest has a strict ‘no party’ policy to ensure every guest has a secure and comfortable stay. Each Quest properly has its own terms and conditions with regards to parties, and in many cases, violation of the policy will result in a non-refundable termination of a booking. Please contact your property for details.

Does Quest have a business centre?

Quest apartments feature broadband internet access along with separate work stations, living and dining areas, ideal for conducting small meetings.

Some Quest properties have dedicated business centres and others offer a range of business and administrative services through reception, including printing, faxing and mailing.
 
Business facilities vary across Quest’s properties, so please check with the property prior to arrival.

Does Quest have a reception?

Yes. The majority of Quest properties have an on-site reception (open from 7am to 11pm, seven days a week) with an on-site manager to ensure the security of guests and attend to urgent after hours enquiries.

Quest properties are owned and operated by franchisees who are dedicated to making your stay hassle-free, and in many cases you’ll be dealing with these people each day. 

What happens if I need something after hours?

In addition to on-site reception, Quest properties have an on-site manager to ensure the security of all guests and attend to urgent after hours enquiries.

Do I have to do my own washing and make the bed?

Quest offers a range of options including regular housekeeping, valet laundry and dry cleaning services. In addition, most apartment types feature a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. For more information, please contact the property directly.

What are my food and beverage options?

Quest offers a range of dining options. The majority of apartments contain a combination of an oven, hotplates, microwave, fridge, glassware, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and dish washing facilities.

This allows you to cook for yourself in the comfort of your apartment. If you don't have time to do your shopping, Quest's pantry shopping service offers a comprehensive and convenient alternative where you fill out your shopping list and have your items delivered to your apartment.

Selected Quest properties also offer breakfast or snack pack options. For as little as $11 (on average), guests can purchase a selection of light continental breakfast packs consisting of cereal, milk, juice and a muesli bar. Packs are also available with toast and spreads. Quest's snack packs are also a great option for guests relaxing in their apartment with a movie or on the go. Assorted snack packs contain chocolate, cheese and crackers, dried fruit and nuts.

If you’d like to dine out, Quest offers a restaurant chargeback option at selected local restaurants. Restaurant charges will automatically be added to your Quest accommodation account and settled on check-out.

Where do I park?

Car parking options vary across our properties and range from on-site to secure off-site. On occasions, car parking will incur a fee, so please contact your property for details. 

I’m only staying for two nights – can I still stay at Quest?

Yes. Quest accommodates travellers whether it’s for one night or many months at a time.
