Quest opens doors in Cannon Hill

Brisbane, 11 June 2018 – Today marks the opening of Quest Cannon Hill at 930 Wynnum Road, increasing the brand’s Brisbane offering by 100 rooms. The opening comes at an exciting period of growth for Quest within the Brisbane market, following the official opening of Quest Springfield Central just one month ago.

Quest’s further growth in Brisbane comes as the city, and the state of Queensland more broadly, continues to make a mark on the global stage. The Queen’s Wharf development, as well as the Brisbane Airport expansion, which is set to double flight capacity, will drive international and interstate tourism growth.

The development of Quest Cannon Hill comes as part of the extensive growth currently taking place in the suburb. The Southgate Business Park, located 6km from Brisbane CBD, has established the suburb as a prime location for major international tenants looking to future proof their own growth.

Quest Apartment Hotels General Manager – Growth, James Shields said that opening Quest Cannon Hill provides a strong opportunity for business growth, as the need for flexible, corporate accommodation continues to exceed supply.

“Local business is thriving in Cannon Hill. Along with the development of the Southgate Business Park, Cannon Hill shopping centres are seeing major refurbishments to keep up with the suburb’s growth,” said Mr Shields.

Quest Cannon Hill features 100 apartments – a mix of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments. The purpose-built property is ideal for business travellers, colleagues or larger groups looking for a home away from home experience, with fully-equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, conference facilities and on site gymnasium and pool.

The broad pipeline of 15 new property openings over the next 18 months across Australia, New Zealand and the UK, shows substantial growth for Quest. In addition to Cannon Hill, this includes properties in South Perth (WA); Maribyrnong, Epping, Notting Hill, Burwood East and NewQuay (VIC); Penrith and Orange (NSW); Quest on Manchester, Quest Tauranga Central, Quest Highbrook Extension, Quest on Tuam and Quest Mount Eden (NZ) and Liverpool (UK).
