Quest's partnership with the Cronulla Sharks returns for a huge 2025 season

Sharks fever is well and truly underway at Quest HQ, and with good reason. “It’s an exciting time to be a Sharks fan with the club in outstanding shape on and off the field,” said Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta.

“Already this year we’ve showcased our brand to the world in Las Vegas and there’s plenty more in store as our men’s and women’s squads strive for greatness. We’re hungrier than ever to keep raising the bar after an unforgettable 2024 season where four of our senior teams reached the finals. And having valued partners like Quest Apartment Hotels is a major factor in our continued success. We look forward to sharing a special journey in 2025.”

Indeed, Quest’s two-year partnership with the heroes of Sydney’s Sutherland Shire is based on a values alignment that stretches across business and community, and like Dino says, 2025 is shaping up to be the greatest year yet.

Here are five reasons to get excited about this jam-packed season.

1. Quest goes global with the Sharks' first game live from Las Vegas

The Sharks might not have prevailed against the Panthers at February’s Las Vegas festival, but there were still plenty of highlights for Stateside Sharks fans, with a fanfest, red carpet and Q&A session, as well as a live signing in the heart of Sin City. Plus, pop icon Katy Perry declared the Sharks were her team upon meeting players Nicho Hynes and Kayal Iro!

2. The NRLW season is longer than ever

Record participation and viewership numbers for the 2024 NRLW season has resulted in the announcement of an extended competition this year, and we’ll be right there as the Sharks’ front-of-jersey sponsor (and front-row fans). Viewership surpassed eight million people throughout last year's NRLW competition, with the Women’s State of Origin clashes attracting a further three million.

“It was an incredible experience to reach the grand final in the club’s second NRLW season last year. Now that we’ve been there, we’re determined to become consistent premiership contenders,” says Sharks NRLW captain Tiana Penitani. “We have a strong squad again in 2025, including several key recruits, and we’re all excited to get back on the field. We know Quest Apartment Hotels will be backing us all the way.”

3. Quest's support of the Sharks Have Heart Program continues

One of the key drivers in our partnership with the Sharks is the critical work of the ‘Sharks Have Heart’ program in championing inclusivity, which is a key focus for Quest as Official Community Partner.

Vinh Tran, Sharks Head of Community, says 2025 is going to be a big year for the programs’ continued commitment to strengthening communities. “Our work is important because we appreciate and embrace that our impact in the community stretches far beyond what happens on the field,” Vinh said.

“Our vision is to always have a community-first approach whereby our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure the Cronulla Sharks are an inclusive club that delivers real change through evidence-based programs that make a lasting and positive influence on everyone we engage with but particularly those from at risk or vulnerable circumstances.”

The initiative’s signature programs – One Heart, Deadly Choices, Mega Jaws, Mega Waves and SCORE Sharks – focus on key communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people living with disability and young people.

“The SCORE Sharks, in partnership with The Disability Trust, offers modified rugby league for people living with disability, with a debut match set for 2025,” explains Vinh. “The Mega Waves program delivers rugby league clinics to students in supported school units, launching with a pilot at Port Hacking High and expanding across the Sutherland Shire.”
