Optus Stadium (Perth Stadium)
Optus Stadium, also called Perth Stadium during its construction, is Australia's third largest stadium, with a capacity of 60,000 seats. Open in January 2018 to replace the retired Subiaco Oval (Domain Stadium), this brand new complex is used for Australian Rules football and cricket, as well as concerts.
The Optus Stadium was built in Burswood, just east across the Swan River from Perth CBD. Perth Stadium is the new home to the city's two AFL teams, the Fremantle Football Club and the West Coast Eagles, and to Perth cricket team, the Perth Scorchers.
